How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
I'm not a stay-at-home girl. I'm hyperactive, I like sports and I'm always willing to discover new places, both alone or in company. At the beginning of this quarantine, I immediately thought that it was necessary to find a solution to avoid a sedentary life. So I set up a challenge with myself: I decided to improve my physical skills... in my backyard. I started with 20 minutes of running every morning, but the goal is to reach one hour at the end of the quarantine. After I've done my workout, I'm ready to study. Between online classes, researches for my thesis and my final projects, there is no way I can get bored!
I was living in Milan, far from home, so I did not have the chance to spend a lot of quality time with my family. I'm facing this lockdown as an opportunity to retrieve all the moments I lost with my parents: we cook together, and we play a lot of board games. We also organize "soirees" at home, with a particular dress code. These are the small things that break our routines, and that make us smile.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
Internet is a valid source for inspiration. Behance is an online platform that is perfect to discover new people and projects. The best way to keep on being active is to show interest to the work of other people. My advice is to search and be curious, not only online. Read: books, autobiographies and interviews are fundamental to improve our minds.
What is your biggest fear right now?
Right now, my biggest fear is for my future industry. I'll be graduating in July, and I hope that this situation will not have a negative impact on my professional experience.
What will you do once all of this is over?
I ask myself everyday how our tomorrow will look like. Different? For sure. But I'm worried about how much different it is going to be... For now, I prefer to not think about the future, so that I don't build expectations that maybe I will never realize.
