How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
From the busy, intensive life that I was living before the pandemic to restricting everything at home, I have to say that it was not easy at first to change the form of activities, but now I'm adapted to the situation with a new perspective, fulfilling my days with finishing my tasks according to the availabilities at home, online lessons, online interactions, meditating and exercise at home, and creating my works with things I already have in my hands, which is leading to recycling and upcycling!
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
In my opinion the main source of inspiration has always been inside of us. We take inspiration from the world outside but we do it based on the emotions we feel within us towards them. So being creative is not only restricted to exploring outside, but the major part of it happens when we explore inside ourselves. What we feel at the moment is the right source for inspiration, whether its in quarantine, or outside exploring the world. Maybe we forgot to look for interesting things inside ourselves and this is a great practice!
What is your biggest fear right now?
My biggest fear is to lose loved ones during this crisis, which I think it’s the same for everybody. To lose motivation or mental health, and of course all of those “what if’ s that are happening inside our heads, the thought of what will it be like if we don’t get to fulfill what we wanted for ourselves, and what it will be like if we don’t get to enjoy the beautiful world that is out there for us.
What will you do once all of this is over?
I will definitely go to actually “enjoy”. Enjoy the people that we’re surrounded by instead of just dealing with them, enjoying the nature without just passing by, and ultimately “living” life instead of just trying to survive. There’s definitely a huge change of perspective happening in me, and the way I see thing will never be the same. Seriously, I can't wait to start living with the mindset and values I'm gaining during this pandemic, and as they say, the rainbow is only visible after the rain.
