How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
My daily life has changed a lot in an instant. I seem to have gone back in time a couple of years, when my sister and I still lived with my parents. This new momentary reality made me rediscover many things, including my mom and dad. As soon as this strange period started I bought some magazines online (Higsnobiety and Antidote) and some books to read, some of which, of course, I have not read yet. I was afraid of being bored all day, instead I have and I have found many things I can do: school projects keep most of my days busy, cooking desserts has become a classic, and I have found that I like to draw and paint.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
The most effective solution to continue being creative is to succeed not to abandon your projects. By continuing to work throughout this period of isolation, habits will not be lost. I think it is important to be able to adapt and try to find new hints in the environment in which we live. For example, I consider myself very lucky to have a sister who works in design because we can discuss many aspects for their respective projects.
What is your biggest fear right now?
I am afraid that I have studied many things and that this strange period will upset them. Fashion has become something extremely fast, and what if this period is a clue to slow us down? I'm afraid I have studied how the world works today, to then get out of this period and see that it all comes back.
What will you do once all of this is over?
It is difficult for me to imagine a post COVID-19 future, perhaps because even now it all seems like an unreal situation that we are experiencing. I think companies will try as soon as they can to get back to their best, to immediately go out on the market with products that are symbols of a rebirth. I speak of a rebirth on a global level, but also thinking smaller of the fashion system in particular.
