How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
It has changed my everyday life since I left Milano to go back home in France where I am living with my parents. It is unusual to study for classes online and my everyday rhythm has been a bit overwhelmed. I try to keep up a schedule in order to stay on track on everything: I study for my classes and group projects, I am learning a new language (Italian), I try to work out or play tennis (I have the chance to have a garden to spend the quarantine), I cook more often and read more books than usual.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
During this quarantine and in order to keep on being creative, I try to read more books in order to imagine situations from the story and put myself in the shoes of the characters at a different period of time than ours. I also visited some museums that were offering free tours online, such as the Guggenheim in New York or the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
What is your biggest fear right now?
My biggest fear would be that we do not learn from this crisis and that we just go back straight to a “normal” lifestyle without making any changes for our safety and the safety of others. Even though I would like for things to go back to the way they were, I believe this crisis will leave scars that will take time to heal.
What will you do once all of this is over?
Once all of this is over, I will go back to Milano to enjoy some “aperitivos” on terrace and discover more cities in Italy during weekends. I will also spend some time with my friends and family that I could only see through a webcam during this period (which is a bit frustrating). I also want to travel to more places and be able to go back to a more “normal” lifestyle.
