How has your everyday-life changed? What do you do to fulfill your day?
My daily life has changed quite a bit. I used to go out to do almost everything. In fact, I live pretty far from the building of my school, so everyday I ha to get up early and take from 3 to 4 public transportations to be in class. In the past few weeks I've been following online courses: despite I still have to do my homeworks as a student and as a tutor and despite I still have some group works going on, still there's some free time left just for myself. I try to keep updated about the spreading of COVID-19 and to stay in shape with workouts, I'm learning new recipes and I stay in touch with my dearests who I can't meet in person.
Your work is built on creativity. While we’re all in quarantine, what is your solution to keep on being creative? Where do you find your inspiration in this moment?
I think that this pandemic could be an opportunity to stimulate creativity, especially for what concerns to marketing strategies. For sure, Coronavirus will have serious consequences on every brand's future, that's why they need to think of new ways to engage with the client both for this period of quarantine and for when it will be over. It's important to do some research: that stimulates creativity and it's what we're trying to do on the IED Master in Fashion Marketing. So, my inspiration is just this: to consider Coronavirus as a chance to put our minds to a test, with the purpose to think of new strategies that could also be in the next future a solution to come out of the COVID-19 crisis.
What is your biggest fear right now?
My biggest fear right now is my future. From what I could read and listen to, there are many thoughts about that: somebody say that there will be less open positions even after the pandemic, others say that this could be a great opportunity to everyone who will be entering the industry for the first time. Personally, I think that Coronavirus is indeed an opportunity to create something new, still I'm aware that it's going to be difficult for people like me, due to the serious economical damages that many industries are suffering.
What will you do once all of this is over?
It's hard to imagine a different life from what we were used to before this quarantine. For now, what I do care about the most is to be able to hug again my loved ones who I haven't seen for a long time by now. For sure, we will need to respect some rules to avoid a major spreading of the virus; it will be necessary to avoid crowded places, to keep social distancing, to wear sanitary gloves and face-masks etc. It will take time to re-open bars and all the places where people need to gathering as restaurants, bars, clubs, schools and universities, too. So, we have to be strong and wait before we have our freedom back as it was before the pandemic.
