Prisoners’s soul
December 8th, 2016
Souls, prisoners, eyes. This is all that includes IMAGO the photographic serie, taken by Polish photographer Krajewska Zuza. The artist, in fact, after visiting a prison near Warsaw decided to tell the stories of its inhabitants, such as to give him a second chance. So was born his project, that has as a models young mens who are going to enter in adulthood, guilty of small or big crimes. The name, IMAGO, is a term of the Latvian language, which is to identify the final phase of the development of insects, phase which also the Polish prisoners are living. Immortalized during their activities and in their spaces, the guys don’t seem to have lost their human side. They show, in fact, their childish side, their bodies falling in too big clothes, as theit experience is too much for their age. And their experience will mark them forever.
Zuma Krajewaska is one of the best Polish photographers and he wants always to show the models’s soul, showing their fragility.
