Artists are the new emojis

Some artists of the past have been so forward-thinking for their time that they would have certainly appreciated seeing their image as an emoji, such a central symbol for our generation.

At a time where everything is stylised and turned into a telematic icon, a Los Angeles gallery has decided to make some of the most renowned artists ever existed the protagonists of a series of art-emojis: Marcel Duchamp, Réné Magritte, Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo and Jackson Pollock are just some of the creative geniuses chosen by Cantor Fine Art to make art closer to smartphone users.
