Umberto Boccioni: Genio e Memoria
@ Palazzo Reale, Milano
March 21st, 2016
He was one of the main spokespeople of the Futurist movement in Italy and, according to the movement's principles expressed in its Manifesto, he favoured subjects that denied the dusty past and celebrated the energy of the future and its technological development.
Cities, machines and everyday's chaotic life were masterfully portrayed by Umberto Boccioni, investigating the rules of this artistic trend. Palazzo Reale in Milan has decided to celebrate the artist, gathering the works that best represent the story of his creative and innovative personality. The exhibition goes through Boccioni's artistic career, his international reputation and his activities in Milan, also in the light of new documents recently emerged.
From March 23 to July 10, 2016 at Palazzo Reale, Piazza del Duomo 12, Milan.
