In the late 90s, Canadian photographer Naomi Harris came upon the Haddon Hall Hotel in South Beach during a trip to Miami, Florida.
A paradise for elderly and retired people of which Naomi became immediately fascinated, for the kind of community they had been able to create. The hotel has been one of the last of a series of establishments that hosted an aging population in the South Beach area.
These photographs capture the essence and the playful side of life after retirent and mark an earlier stage in the development and change of the whole area.
