The strategy behind LACMA's Snapchat

What I think, being an art lover, it's that we should support art no matter how, even though doing it sometimes means adapting to current trends, even those that are not so "intellectual".
According to this idea the Los Angeles County Museum has entrusted its Snapchat profile to its social media strategist, Maritza Yoes.
The page posts pieces of the museum collection, writing on them phrases taken from current youth slang, quotes of songs by Nicki Minaj and much more. This marketing strategy certainly draws attention, even if in an ironic way, to the museum, obtaining consents, visitors and then financings: still a good way to support art!
