When the things we own begin to own us
paper collages by Daniel Greer

Exactly as it happens in everyone's house when doing zapping while watching tv, when Daniel Greer was a little boy he used to judge every kind of tv show and trash people with his family in front of the screen.
He put this childhood habit in his artistic work, becoming cynical and frustrated towards the standards imposed by the tv: his art distorts and creates flaws and this is evident in particular in the subjects who should represent an ideal of perfection. By doing this, he underlines his digust for the mass media.
