The architectural design developed by the OMA, led by Rem Koolhaas, expands the repertoire of spatial typologies in which art can be exhibited and shared with the public. Characterized by an articulated architectural configuration that combines seven existing buildings in three new buildings (Podium, Cinema and Tower), the new headquarters is the result of the transformation of a distillery dating back to the early years of the twentieth century. In OMA coexist then two dimensions: the work of conservation and the creation of a new architecture, while remaining distinct, are compared in a process of continuous interaction. Located in Largo Isarco, in the south of Milan, the complex is spread over a total area of 19,000 m2. La Torre, nearing completion, will be open to the public at a later stage.
The exhibitions "Serial Classic" (9 May to 24 August 2015), in Milan, and "Portable Classic" (9 May to 13 September 2015), in Venice, ideally combine the two offices of the Foundation in the summer of 2015. exhibition projects, whose construction is designed by OMA, respectively, analyze the issues of seriality and copy in classical and reproduction scale of the greek-Roman sculpture from the Renaissance to Neoclassicism.

The Cinema has a project entitled "Roman Polanski: My Inspirations". In the documentary conceived by Roman Polanski for the Fondazione Prada and directed by Laurent Bouzereau, they trace the sources of inspiration for his film work. An underground space of Cinema welcomes permanent installation of Thomas DemandProcesso grotesque (2006-2007), presented for the first time in 2007 in Venice. Spaces collected the Haunted House, a four-storey building in the center of the complex, receive a permanent installation conceived by Robert Gober and two works by Louise Bourgeois.

The design space has been developed in collaboration with 18 students of the Ecole nationale supérieure d'architecture de Versailles, directed by Cédric Libert and Elias Guenoun.
The Bar Light, designed by American director Wes Anderson and housed in the entrance of the new headquarters, recreates the atmosphere of a historic Milanese coffee. The decoration of the ceiling and walls plays in "miniature" a symbol of the city, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, while the interior furnishings in formica, the seats and the floor terrace pays tribute to Italian cinema of the fifties and sixties.
