Rinat Shingareev
Only positive emotions
November 18th, 2013
His subjects are political figures, actors, singers or artists. His style is irreverent and extremely satirical. His name is Rinat Shingareev, described by Maxim as one of the most talented illustrators in the world.
Russian, Rinat represents his reality and his time interpreting them in a pop key. With his works in oil on canvas brightly colored he wants to question the roles of public figures in society, making some irony about their stage presence. Placed in unusual situations, they are demystified and lose their otherworldly essence that characterizes them on television or in the newspapers.
We can then find a loving George Bush hugging a giant rabbit, a fair version of Michelle Obama as Wonder Woman, a smiling Belen Rodriguez tattooed in an Old School way and so on .
Mr. Shingareev insists that his art should inspire the viewer only positive emotions: we agree. Here is a selection of his best works, to be observed with a smile.
