A NEW HOME FOR THE MOCA MUSEUM OF CLEVELAND

34 mila metri quadri di struttura contorta, sublime, che non solo si immerge in un contesto, ma lo assorbe e lo riflette: questo è il progetto per la nuova casa del Museo d'Arte Contemporanea (MOCA) di Cleveland,   partorito dalla mente dell'architetto Farshid Moussavi. La struttura è ubicata in un incrocio "senza pretese" dei quartieri alti della città, ad Uptown, ed ha dimensioni monumentali e un aspetto disorientante, enigmatico e curioso grazie non solo al taglio geometrico insolito ma anche ai pannelli specchiati di acciaio inossidabile nero, che suggeriscono a pieno il livello artistico delle opere ospitate al suo interno, assolutamente non da meno all'esterno, come ad esempio "Caramboxido" di Henrique Oliveira, commissionato da MOCA per la mostra inaugurale "Inside Out e dalla terra in su". E' stata scelta una colorazione sia esterna che interna in blu notte in omaggio all’idea di infinito e ricreando un' atmosfera di sapore cinematografico.

34 thousand square metres of sublime, twisted structure, that it is not just immersed in a context, but absorbs it and then reflects it: this is the project for the new house of the Contemporary art museum (MOCA) of Cleveland, borne from the mind of the architect Farshid Moussavi.  The structure is located in a crossing "without demands" of the high districts of the town, to Uptown, and has monumental dimensions and an appearance confusing, enigmatic and curious thanks not only to the geometrical cut unusual but also to the panels looked in the mirror of black stainless steel, that advise completely the artistic level of the works accommodated to the inside, absolutely do not from except for to the outside one, like for example "Caramboxido" of Henrique Oliveira, ordered from MOCA for The inaugural show "Inside Out and from the land onwards".  And 'been chosen a coloring is outside that inside in midnight blue in tribute to the idea of infinite and recreating a' film atmosphere taste.
