Macao Gordo made out by 10000 Flip Flops

Parte della serie 'Obeastitas', il pezzo intitolato Fat Monkey o Macaco Gordo, è stato progettato da Florentijn Hofman. La Scimmia è un lavoro creato in concomitanza con il Pixelshow la fiera di arte e design di San Paolo, Brasile. Realizzata con l'aiuto degli studenti locali, l'enorme scimmia gonfiabile è composta da oltre 10.000 paia di flip flop colorate, ogni infradito rappresenta un singolo pixel.

Part of his ‘Obeastitas’ series, the piece titled Fat Monkey or Macaco Gordo, was designed by Florentijn Hofman. The Fat Monkey is a site specific work which was created out of the question from the Pixelshow to make a sculpture during their conference. Made with the help of local students by covering a huge inflatable ape with over 10,000 pairs of colored flip flops, each flip flop representing an individual pixel.
