And a special lost-wax bronze casting technique
May 15th, 2023
After fashion, cinema and giftware, Saint Laurent is extending its creative macrocosm to architecture and design by inviting an outstanding figure in the field to share his artistic vision with the house: Maison Intègre, will exhibit his works, which will be for sale in the boutiques on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris and on Rodeo Drive in LA. An international company that has already collaborated with Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Brendan Ravenhill, François Champsaur, Pia Chevalier and Charlotte Thon & Marc Boinet and launched a special edition for the New York design gallery Les ateliers Courbet.
Maison Intègre was founded in 2017 in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, by Ambre Jarno. At the age of 24, she became interested in African art, a passion that led her to meet and collaborate with artisans, drawing on the knowledge of her ancestors, in particular the technique of lost wax bronze casting. Maison Intègre was founded with the aim of promoting the excellent craftsmanship of Burkina Faso and produces furniture and objects in bronze, using recycled metal and natural materials. Last year, Ambre set up its own foundry, where all the craftsmen come together and the workshop houses all the human and technical resources needed to produce bronze pieces. Maison Intègre accepts commissions from private clients, designers, architects, artists and luxury brands who want to get involved and support its activity. At the same time, the Association Maison Intègre (AMI) aims to develop, support and accompany the bronze artisan community in Burkina Faso. A presence on the ground that allows it to act in full knowledge of local problems and issues, with the aim of creating a positive environment that will benefit the whole community over time.
