ART BOXES - COLETTE

Riporre la propria arte in una scatola. Cosa ci mettereste voi se doveste riversare il vostro io creativo, la vostra arte, in un contenitore? Ognuno di noi se ci pensasse un'attimo saprebbe dare una risposta. Chiudere in un spazio, scegliere, portare all'attenzione. D'altronde ogni opera d'arte è una scelta, e le antiche cornici non sono altro che una messa in evidenza di un qualcosa di eletto.
Cinque artisti hanno fatto questa scelta, contemporaneamente, mettere la propria arte in una scatola. Colette li ha messi insieme e ce li propone sotto questo comune denominatore concettuale. Art Boxes. Sono il Londinese James Cauty, il francese Gatz, la Berlinese  Sarah Illenberger, Valentine Fournier e Ronan-Jim Sévellec. I "concentrati d'arte" spaziano da accurate ricostruzioni in scala di scene da un passato surreale, cornici ripiene di oggetti comuni di un passato recente, scenette ironiche dalle forme semplici e dai concetti immediati ad arrivare ad un vero e proprio "Riot in a Jam Jar", la brutalità di una guerriglia in un barattolo di marmellata.
Sono certa che in questo momento vi scappa un sorriso, non la trovate un'idea brillante e così aderente ai paradossi che la realtà ci induce a vivere quotidianamente?

Put your art in a box. What would you put, if you had the opportunity to put your art  in a container? Each of us would know the answer. Close in a  space, choose, bring to the attention. On the other hand, each work of art is a choice, and the old frames are nothing more than highlighting something elected.
Five artists have made this choice at the same time putting his art in a box. Colette bring them together and offers us in this conceptual common denominator. Art Boxes. From London James Cauty , the young French Gatz, from Berlin Sarah Illenberger, Valentine Fournier and  Ronan-Jim Sévellec. The "focus art" range from accurate scale models of scenes from a surreal past, frames filled with common objects of the recent past, humorous scenes with simple shapes and concepts immediately ending with  a real "Riot jam jar ", the brutality of guerrilla aexposed in a jar of jam.
