Spazio Maiocchi presents a series of digital billboards
Curated by KALEIDOSCOPE Magazine
April 1st, 2020
Even in the midst of the pandemic and quarantine, creativity must not stop. For this reason, Spazio Maiocchi has launched a new digital initiative curated by KALEIDOSCOPE Magazine. The initiative will see several visual artists digitally decorate the billboard inside the space of Spazio Maiocchi in Milan. The first artist to create a digital billboard is Mario Ayala of Los Angeles, whose composition, like that of all subsequent artists, is already visible on the social media platforms of the institution.
Born in Los Angeles in 1991, Mario Ayala studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and later at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His main technique is acrylic-painted airbrushing that is used to represent and rework pop culture models associated with Latinx culture.
You can follow all the commissions curated by KALEIDOSCOPE for Spazio Maiocchi on the Instagram channels of the Spazio and the magazine.
