The other side of Hollywood: the rising star of A24
The distribution and production company A24 is rewriting the rules of independent cinema

A jeweler with a gambling habit and an obsession with a black opal; a criminal with a diamond grill and a floral shirt; a teenager addicted to drugs. They are not the main characters of an unlikely story, but the pieces of a huge mosaic that bears the name of A24. This relatively young distribution and production company was founded back in 2012 by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel and John Hodges (they were inspired by a trip made by Katz in Southern Italy driving on the Rome-Teramo motorway, called "the A24") and in a few years has become one of the most wanted and copied names in Hollywood. Furthermore, thanks to film like Moonlight, Mid90s and the latest Uncut Gems, A24 is serving as a model for newborn realities in the world of independent cinema such as NEON (the distribution company that brought Parasite to the United States).
