Tesla's CyberTruck won't be able to legally circulate in Europe
Elon Musk's futuristic pickup is not in line with EU parameters
December 17th, 2019
According to Stefan Teller, sGS-T-V Saar GmbH security expert, Tesla's CyberTruck would not meet the structural parameters to be approved in EU countries. While in the United States the certification of vehicles is carried out by the manufacturers themselves, European regulations are stricter, especially with regard to pedestrian safety. The CyberTruck's stainless steel armoured structure, lacking in elasticity, would be too dangerous for pedestrians involved in any accidents and passengers. The lack of elasticity of the body or elastic elements on it ensures that the force of any impacts is not cushioned by anything and would harm both passengers and pedestrians.
