"Photography is magical, it's a time capsule. It's something that keeps the moment alive.
This is how Lenny Kravitz talks about one of his many passions. Rock legend, musician, actor, interior designer, but also photographer, the star has been shooting since the day he received his first Leica from his father at the age of 21.
“I’m always on the road. When I was envisioning this camera I was thinking about myself and the people that live that way, free-spirited and open to adventure.”
The result is a captivating object that reflects the aesthetics of its creator: a sepia brown painted exterior with parts covered in ecological python - obtained with the help of designer and animal rights activist Stella McCartney - and various elements such as the untreated copper shutter. The camera is completed by Leica Summicron-M 28 f/2 ASPH. and 75 f/2 ASPH. lenses, The Drifter Traveller bag in brown faux leather, two vintage-style protective cases for the lenses and two bags for personal effects.
This Leica kit is available in a limited edition (125 pieces) at the cost of 23,300 euros.
