Yayoi Kusama and MoMA launch a collection of skateboards Polka dots fever

After Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol, the Museum of Modern Art joins forces with Yayoi Kusama for a limited edition series, only 500 pieces, of skateboards.

It's great news for street art addicted who, probably from October, will try to buy at the price of $ 200 one of these cool objects in Canadian maple wood, hand-decorated by the same Japanese artist with details of her  most famous works such as Dots Obsession and Yellow Trees.

Available in different sizes and colors (Black Small Dots and Black Big Dots and Red Small Dots and Red Big Dots), skateboards will soon be available via MoMA's online design store.

Ready for Polka dots fever?

A fun fact: if you are in NY, still for a few days, until September 3, the MoMA hosts the installation "Narcissus Garden" of Kusama at Fort Tilden in Brooklyn.
