Show Me What You Got
Sha Ribeiro's photo collection closes Edicola's fourth issue, the face
July 6th, 2017
Sha Ribeiro is the last protagonist of Edicola's fourth issue, the face, with his project Show Me What You Got.
I immediately thought of a selection of photos that weren't released from a commercial discourse.
I like the idea of a selection of images born purely by fortuitous encounters or by my personal desire to shoot that particular subject in that situation. All photos have been taken between 2003 and 2009 between Milan, Lisbon, London and New York. Show Me What You Got, in addition to being the name of my blog, is a phrase that struck me when one day I talked to Aaron Bondaroff of a photographic project shot in NY and he told me: "Yooo !! show me what you Got ... show me what you got !!"
I do photograph for me, but especially for the people who are watching and will watch my photos.
