Sunday Escape - The Binh House

A perfect blend of privacy and space to foster social interaction and contact with nature

Sunday Escape - The Binh House A perfect blend of privacy and space to foster social interaction and contact with nature

The rapid urbanization of Vietnam catapulted its cities distant from their intrinsic connection with nature, as contemporary society tends to favor the dispersal of interpersonal relationships.

A solution to both problems comes from the Vo Trong Nghia architects group with Binh House.

It is a vertically stacked building with the addition and subtraction of planes and surfaces, a straight line with gardens and glass walls tied between two main concrete facades. This planning strategy should offer to those who live in the home, a family of three generations, greater visibility, and interaction. It should be a perfect mix of privacy and space for interaction and conviviality.

The modern style of residential architecture proposed by VTN it also improves the microclimate by introducing ventilation and natural light in each room. On the ground floor, the entrance to the property opens onto a separate living room separated from a dining area by trees and shrubs growing in a small gravel garden. Beyond, an outdoor lobby covered with sliding glass doors houses tall palm trees and stones leading to a suite bedroom. Along the top floor, there are two more suites, a studio and a spa with outdoor hot tub.

On the roof a garden with large trees helps to prevent direct sunlight from overheating the building, offering the possibility to grow small areas with fruit and vegetables and gives a dreamlike look to the underwater.
