March 28th, 2017
The protagonist of inhabit #2 is Anna Grimal, Spanish illustrator who turned her passion into work. And today she tells us what it means to her the concept of ”home".
#2 Anna Grimal
To me, home means the green and blue colors of water and sky. Landscapes with all kinds of birds – My home is where nature is. I love Costa Brava. It contains, within just a few kilometers of space, all the pleasures of what I consider home. Water is the most important element to me. When I’m in the water I feel like flying – it relaxes me – whether I am in a bathtub, or at the sea.
Anna Grimal was born in a town of sea and mountain and she simply fell in love with illustration. As she decided to do of this passion something more concrete, she went to Barcelona to attend Escola Massana for five years, spending the last one in Belgium to enjoy her erasmus. Today in Baix empordà (Girona, Catalunya), the same town where she was born, she has grown as an artist developing an inspiring aesthetic and she can live of her work. Last year saw the publication of one of her children books while she was working for different magazines and editorials. She loves ceramics and textile patterns and she dreams to make a collaboration with a textile Brand.
