A story about women for women

What does it mean to be a woman today? Chloë Sevigny got interested in this question and tried to find an answer by making a short-film for Miu Miu's "Women's Tales" serie. Miuccia Prada's muse since Nineties, this time the actress went behind the camera to direct Carmen, an 8-minutes short-film who explores the female wolrd with suggestive truthfulness and neon lights. The main character, played by Spanish-American actress Carmen Lynch, explains with sense of humor, and maybe a touch of sadness, what to be a woman means today by capturing some daily life moments and showing some themes of the women world, like bad dates or the morning-after pill, but also facing married friends or with babes.
The actress said that this project “really captures a lot of who I am” and I think she is not the only one woman who sees herself in the character, sitting alone in a night club or while she's wondering about herself in the mirror. Good job, Chloë!
